 04-04-17  04:30 PM  Game     Adlai E. Stevenson     Away     14 - 0  W   Christian McCauley allowed just three hits and shut out Stevenson on opening day of the regular varsity baseball season. The Scouts scored in every inning of the five-inning game including a six-run fourth inning. Caleb Durbin, Paul Turelli, Brad Czerniejewski, Jonathan Salm each had two hits to lead the Scouts and Charlie Reinkemeyer had one. Durbin and Czerniejewski added two stolen bases.
 04-07-17  04:45 PM  Game     Niles West     Away     4 - 5  L   Lake Forest 4 - Niles West 5 The Scouts suffered a tough loss to Niles West when in the bottom of the sixth NW's Jack Lochner singled off of Andrew Gough, driving in what turned out to be the winning run. The Scouts scored two runs in each of the first two innings and Niles West came back with three runs in the second and one in the third to tie the game. Peter Turelli took the loss for Lake Forest. He threw three and a third innings, allowing one run, three hits, striking out five, and walking one. The Scouts out hit their opponent nine to six. Caleb Durbin had three hits and Drew Golde had two. Jason Cast and Turelli each drove in a run.
 04-08-17  01:00 PM  Game     Evanston     Away     2 - 3  L   The Scouts scored a run in the first and second innings and held on until the bottom of the sixth when Evanston came up with three runs. Lake Forest pitchers struck out eight while Evanston struck out ten. Paul Turelli started the game and pitched five innings allowing no runs or hits and striking out eight. Drew Golde drew the loss, pitching one-third inning allowing three runs and two hits. The Scouts out hit Evanston 8-2. Charlie Reinkemeyer and Paul Turelli led the team in hitting with two each.
 04-12-17  04:30 PM  Game     Warren Township     Away     8 - 9  L   Lake Forest 8 - Warren 9 Warren scored two runs in the first inning to take the lead, but the Scouts countered with four runs in both the second and third innings. Warren came right back with four of their own runs in the fourth inning and two in the fifth and the winning run in the sixth. Will Woidat took the loss for the Scouts. He threw two-thirds of an inning allowing one run and no hits. Christian McCauley started the game for Lake Forest. He pitched four innings and gave up six runs, seven hits, striking out three and walking one. The Scouts had eight hits in the game. Caleb Durbin led the team with three hits in three at bats. Andrew Anthenson added two hits. Drew Golde had the most chances in the field with five.
 04-15-17  10:30 AM  Game     Warren Township     Away     5 - 3  W   Lake Forest 5 - Warren 3 The Scouts had trouble putting away Warren on Saturday, but eventually prevailed 5-3. The Scouts and Warren each scored two runs in the second and one run in the third to tie the game at three. The Scouts finally scored two in the seventh to take the lead for good. Charlie Reinkemeyer had two hits and drove in a run, and Jason Cast also drove in a run to lead the Scouts. Caleb Durbin and Andrew Gough each added a hit. Drew Golde pitched one and two-thirds innings, giving up no runs, no hits and striking out two to earn the win. Paul Turelli started the game and threw four innings, giving up three runs, three hits and striking out five.
 04-17-17  04:30 PM  Game     Libertyville     Home     2 - 4  L   Lake Forest 2 - Libertyville 4 The game was tied at one when the Wildcats scored two in the top of the fifth to go ahead. The Scouts came back with one run in the bottom of the fifth for their final score. The Wildcats added another in the top of the seventh to close out the scoring. Caleb Durbin and Brad Czerniejewski each drove in a run to lead the Scouts. Durbin had two hits and Charlie Reinkemeyer had two walks to lead the Scouts in those categories. Drew Golde took the loss for the Scouts. He threw three innings, giving up three runs, four hits, striking out one. Andrew Gough started the game for Lake Forest. He three four innings and gave up one run, two hits, striking out two.
 04-18-17  04:30 PM  Game     Libertyville     Away     4 - 5  L   Lake Forest 4 - Libertyville 5 Despite a four-run deficit in the third inning, the Scouts almost came all the way back, but eventually lost 5-4. Charlie Reinkemeyer, Peter Turelli and Brad Czerniejewski each had one hit and Turelli had one RBI. Reinkemeyer, Czerniejewski, and Drew Golde each had one walk. Christian McCauley took the loss for Lake Forest. He went five and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs and seven hits.

The Scouts scored their only run in the fourth inning on a RBI by Andrew Gough. The Wildcats tied the score in the fifth inning. Caleb Durbin, Charlie Reinkemeyer, Andrew Gough and Paul Turelli each had one hit to lead Lake Forest. Peter Turelli took the loss. He threw six and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs, five hits, and striking out two.

Paul Turelli earned the win for Lake Forest. He went five innings giving up two runs, three hits, and striking out four. Jackson Thomas threw one and one-third innings and Kyle Wix got the last two outs to earn the save.

Stevenson took the lead on an error in the first inning. The Scouts' only run came in the third inning on an RBI by Caleb Durbin. He went 1-for-3 on the day. Charlie Reinkemeyer had two hits and a walk. Jason Cast pitched five innings and took the loss for Lake Forest. He gave up three runs, five hits, struck out three and walked one.

Paul Turelli led the Scouts in offense with two hits in three at bats. Christian McCauley took the loss for Lake Forest. He threw three innings, surrendering five runs, four hits, and striking out two.

The Scouts scored the first three runs in the first inning on a single by Drew Golde, a wild pitch and a single by Andrew Athenson. The score was six to nothing in the fifth inning when Lake Forest added five more runs thanks to a walk by Charlie Reinkemeyer, a wild pitch, and a home run by Paul Turelli, Peter Turelli earned the win. He pitched six innings, allowing no runs, one hit, striking out two, and walking one. Turelli, Athenson, and Caleb Durbin each had two hits.
 04-26-17  04:30 PM  Game     Lake Zurich     Away     7 - 6  W   Lake Forest 7 - Lake Zurich 6 The game was tied at six with the Scouts batting in the top of the sixth when Jonathan Salm doubled, driving in the winning run. The Scouts took an early lead in the first inning on a Charlie Reinkemeyer single which drove in a run, but LZ came back with two runs in the first, one run in the third inning, and three runs in the fifth. Lake Forest managed to put six runs on the board in the sixth inning for the victory. Drew Golde earned the win--pitching five innings and giving up six runs, five hits, striking out five and walking one. Paul Turelli threw one inning and recorded the last three outs to earn the save. Turelli and Golde each had two hits. Andrew Gough and Turelli each drove in two runs.
 04-27-17  05:00 PM  Game     Notre Dame College Prep     Home     7 - 10  L   Lake Forest 7 - Notre Dame 10 The game was tied at two in the fifth inning when Notre Dame scored eight runs. The Scouts countered with five runs in the seventh inning on a single by Jonathan Salm and a grand slam by Jason Cason, but it wasn't enough to catch their opponent. Jackson Thomas started the game for Lake Forest and pitched one and one-third innings, Ryan Chandler took the loss for the Scouts. He pitched three innings, surrendering two runs, six hits, striking out one. Brad Czerniejewski went 2-for-4 to lead the Scouts in hits.
 04-28-17  04:30 PM  Game     Warren Township     Home     3 - 5  L   Lake Forest 3 - Warren 5 The Scouts led 3-2 going into the sixth inning when Warren scored one in the sixth and two in the seventh for the win. Caleb Durbin led the offense with two hits in three at bats. Drew Golde drew two walks. Paul Turelli started the game for the Scouts. He three six innings, giving up three runs, seven hits, and striking out four. Warren stole seven bases during the game.
 05-02-17  04:30 PM  Game     Zion-Benton     Away     2 - 3  L   Lake Forest 2 - Zion-Benton 3 The game was tied at two in the bottom of the fourth with Zion-Benton batting when Collin Shaide singled off of Christian McCauley to drive in what would be the winning run in this low-scoring game. Pitching was stong on both sides--Zion's Bakkila struck out five and McCauley struck out four and gave up three runs, eight hits. Andrew Gough led the Scouts with two hits in three at bats. Jonathan Salm had one RBI.
 05-03-17  04:30 PM  Game     Zion-Benton     Home     8 - 1  W   Lake Forest 8 - Zion-Benton 1 The Scouts scored a run in the first inning on a single by Charlie Reinkemeyer, a single by Brian Heidbreder drove in a run in the second inning, and a single by Drew Golde in the second inning drove in another run to take the lead for good. Lake Forest scored four runs in the third inning on a single by Brad Czerniejewski, a single by Heidbreder, and a single by Caleb Durbin to put the game out of reach. Peter Turelli earned the win for the Scouts. He threw five innings, giving up one run, six hits, and striking out two. Parker Messner recorded the last six outs including three strikeouts to earn the save.

The Scouts scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to go ahead for good. Jason Cast singled off of Matt Hamlet, driving in the first run in the inning. Cast also earned the win for Lake Forest by pitching six innings and giving up two runs, three hits, and striking out five. Paul Turelli recorded the last three outs to earn the save. Drew Golde, Ryan Chandler, and Cast each drove in one run for the Scouts.
 05-05-17  04:30 PM  Game     Glenbrook North     Home     5 - 4  W   Lake Forest 5 - Glenbrook North 4 The Scouts and Glenbrook North played an exciting game on Friday, but the Scouts eventually prevailed 5-4 after taking the lead for good in the sixth inning. Lake Forest was down 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Jonathan Salm doubled off of Ben Harkey, driving in two runs. The Scouts scored three runs in the fifth inning on a triple by Griffin Strang. Caleb Durbin, Drew Golde, Jonathan Salm, Andrew Gough, Jason Cast, and Salm all had one hit to lead Lake Forest. Strang had three RBI's and Salm had two. Will Woidat threw one and two-thirds innings and gave up no runs, two hits, and struck out two to earn the win. Drew Golde started the game and tossed five-and-a-third innings giving up four runs, seven hits, striking out two, and walking one.
 05-06-17  03:00 PM  Game     St. Joseph     Home     9 - 3  W   Lake Forest 9 - St. Joseph 3 Caleb Durbin drove in runs on a triple in the fourth and a home run in the sixth to lead the Scouts' offense in their victory over St. Joseph. St. Joseph scored three runs in the first, but Lake Forest evened things up at three on Ryan Lee's single, which drove in two runs. The Scouts took the lead for good in the fifth inning on a triple by Caleb Durbin, which drove in three runs. Two more runs scored on two St. Joseph errors. Kyle Wix pitched four innings and earned the win for Lake Forest. He allowed no runs, two hits, struck out two and walked one. Colin McDonnell recorded the last three outs to earn the save.

Andrew Athenson had three hits, and Brad Czerniejewski had two. Drew Golde, Charlie Reinkemeyer, and Ryan Lee each drive in two runs to lead Lake Forest offense.
 05-13-17  10:00 AM  Game     Barrington     Home     4 - 6  L   Lake Forest 4 - Barrington 6 Barrington scored first with a run in the third inning and added three in the fourth and never relinquished their lead. Christian McCauley took the loss pitching five innings and surrendering four runs, six hits, striking out three. Charlie Reinkemeyer had three hits and Brad Czerniejewski had two. Jason Cast, Czerniejewski, and Paul Turelli each drove in one run to lead the Scouts.
 05-15-17  04:30 PM  Game     Waukegan High School     Home     11 - 1  W   Lake Forest 11 - Waukegan 1 The Scouts scored two runs in the first inning--one scored on an error and one came across the plate on a single by Andrew Athenson. The Scouts scored four runs in the third inning as a result of a double by Athenson and a single. Lake Forest scored one run in the fourth and fifth innings and added three more in the sixth. Caleb Durbin and Drew Golde each scored two runs and Brad Czerniejewski scored three runs and had two RBI's. Peter Turelli earned the win for Lake Forest. He pitched six innings allowing one run, two hits and striking out 12.
 05-16-17  04:30 PM  Game     Waukegan High School     Away     20 - 4  W   Lake Forest 20 - Waukegan 4 Drew Golde drove in four runs on a double in the first and fifth innings to lead the Scouts past Waukegan 20-4. The Scouts scored ten runs in the fifth inning thanks to a double by Golde, a single by Brad Czerniejewski, a single by Jackson Thomas, a single by Parker Messner, a double by Brian Heidbreder, a fielder's choice by Will Woidat, a groundout by Peter Jannotta, and a single by Ryan Lee. Brad Czerniejewski had three RBI's and Brian Heidbreder had two. Caleb Durbin, Golde, Jonathan Salm and Czerniejewski each had two hits to lead the Scouts. Jason Cast earned the win for Lake Forest. He pitched four innings, allowing three runs, three hits, striking out six.
 05-17-17  04:30 PM  Game     Waukegan High School     Home     16 - 2  W   Lake Forest 16 - Waukegan 2 Lake Forest scored eight runs in the first inning vs Waukegan on a walk by Charlie Reinkemeyer, a single by Andrew Athenson, a single by Andrew Gough, a triple by Ryan Chandler, a single by Griffin Strang, and a double. They added three in the second and five more in the third inning. The Scouts pounded out 14 hits in the game. Ryan Chandler and Brian Heidbreder each had two hits.
