The Scouts scored three goals in each half. Allison Quackenbush, Gracie McGowan and Julia Hender scored one goal each for the Scouts, while Madden Plante added a hat trick. Sarah Considine led the charge in the back field. The Scouts take on Arrowhead on Saturday at home at 11:00.

The first half was a battle until Julia Hender touched in a perfectly placed ball from Addie Sidles. Sidles also scored in the second half, along with Madden Plante (3 goals) and, Sarah Considine on a beautiful stroke. Gracie McGowan and Eleanor Van Antwerp were key players, both adding assists. Julia LeClerq and Logan Hanekamp played strong in the midfield. Way to go Scouts!

Allison Quackenbush and Willow Volkert scored 2 goals each, while Madden Plante and Eleanor Van Antwerp scored 1 goal apiece. Both Sarah Considine and Julia Hender assisted 2 goals.  08-31-18  06:15 PM  Tournament     Gateway     Away     4 - 3  W   Lake Forest 4 - Villa Duchesne 3 In the first game against the Missouri State Champion, Villa Duchesne the Scouts were struggling early to find the back of cage, but they did late in the first half. The in second half Villa found the back of the cage twice and the Scouts were faced with two firsts of the season, the first goal against them and the first time they were trailing on the scoreboard. With great leadership from the strong senior class the Scouts maintained their poise and answered the Villa surge and responded with 3 goals of their own during the second half. Villa was not to be denied, they would not go quietly scoring their third and final goal of the game in the last seconds of the game GOALS: Allison Quackenbush (2), Gracie McGowan (1), Maggie Mick (1) ASSISTS: Assists:Julia Hender (2), Sarah Considine (1), Logan Hanekamp (1) SAVES: Heidi Richardson (1), Elsa Goldsberry (1) Scouts 2 - Assumption 2 The next team on the Scouts schedule was the Kentucky State Runner-up, Assumption. Assumption handed the Scouts their biggest loss during the 2017 season, 3-1 in the Huskie Invitational. With that loss in the back of their minds, the Scouts came out strong in the first half scoring twice to go into the half with a 2-0 lead. However, Assumption did not quit--they would respond with two goals to tie the game midway through the second half. The Scouts were able to hold off a strong Assumption late in the second half to keep the 2-2 tie. GOALS: Madden Plante (1), Gracie McGowan (1) ASSISTS: Julia Hender (1)
 09-01-18  -  Tournament     Gateway     Away     3 - 1  W   Lake Forest 3 - Kinkaid 1 Scouts 3 - Kinkaid 1 The Scouts faced the Texas State Champion in the last game of the week. The Scouts scored within the first five minutes to set the tone for the day--it was going to be a good day to be a Scout. Adding a second goal towards the end of the first half the Scouts were rolling into halftime with a 2-0 lead, similar to Assumption game the day before. However, the Scouts were determined to not allow Friday's outcome to repeat itself. Kinkaid found the back of the cage midway through the second half off a corner. Unlike the day before, the Scouts responded within minutes and added another goal to go up 3-1 with just over 10 minutes remaining. The Scouts held Kinkaid scoreless for the last 10 minutes of the game, holding onto their 3-1 lead. GOALS: Gracie McGowan (3) ASSISTS: Sarah Considine (1) Even though the Scouts did not lose a game at Gateway they were not able to repeat as Pool Champions. Assumption was able to shutout both Villa Duchesne and Kinkaid, giving them a total of 8 points. The Scouts finished with 7 points. Congratulations to Assumption on a great tournament. The Scouts are excited to get some rest this week before they face in-state rival New Trier on Wednesday, September 12, at 6:30 at New Trier High School.

Logan Hanekamp (1), Eleanor Van Antwerp (2), and Madden Plante all scored while Addie Sidles assisted (1). Heidi Richardson had two beautiful saves. Both Sydney Steinberg and Julia Kuetemeyer held strong in their defensive play, while also transitioning the team to offense. Way to go Scouts! Lake Forest overall record: 9-1-1 State Record: 7-1-0

The Scouts dominated the first half of the game, but couldn't find the goal. However, that all changed in the first minute of the second half when Gracie McGowan tipped the ball in off a beautiful pass from Addie Sidles. Twelve minutes later Logan Hanekamp Scored during a corner, and six minutes after that Maggie Mick scored after a pass from Madden Plante. Goalkeepers Heidi Richardson and Elsa Goldsberry secured a shutout. State record: 9-1-0 Overall: 10-2-1

The 2017 Michigan state runners-up, Pioneer, kept the Scouts on their toes. During the second half, with five minutes remaining, Julia Hender scored a beautiful goal. Addie Sidles cleaned up in the midfield, and Elsa Goldsberry had three saves in the goal. Just one hour later, the team faced the 2017 Missouri state champions, Villa Duschene. It was a tight game, and the Scouts were down 1-0 at half. With 15 minutes left, during a corner, Sarah Considine shot and Gracie McGowan tipped the ball in. Ten minutes later the duo scored again, bringing the score 2-1. Villa answered back with 2 minutes left, but in the last seconds of the game the Scouts drew another corner and Julia Hender tipped the ball in for the win.  09-29-18  10:00 AM  Tournament     Oak Park & River Forest     Away      -     The Scouts played amazing today...clinching their pool at the Huskie invite and advancing to the finals. They first faced the GBW Hilltoppers and bested them 2-0. Maggie Mick and Julia Hender scored goals, while Madden Plante and Sarah Considine assisted. For the semifinals the Scouts played the 2017 Michigan state champions, Huron. After a hard fought game, the Scouts came out victorious 5-2. Madden Plante (1), Sarah Considine (1) and Maggie Mick (3)scored goals. Sarah Considine also had two assists. During the finals the Scouts took on the Kentucky team DuPont Manual and lost 2-1. Julia Hender scored the only goal for the Scouts. Scouts overall season record is 15-2-1. Go Scouts!

Maggie Mick scored within the first ten minutes of the game, and Eleanor Van Antwerp tipped in a goal from Gracie McGowan just 8 minutes later. During a corner in the second half, Sarah Considine shot, and McGowan redirected the ball into the cage. In the last five minutes, Madden Plante lifted the ball over the goalie to secure the win 4-0. Lindsay Folker had an amazing game in the backfield.
 10-03-18  06:00 PM  Game     Antioch Community     Away     7 - 1  W   Lake Forest 7 - Antioch 1 The Scouts traveled to Antioch Wednesday night for their last away game of the regular season. One of the most impressive parts of the game was that seven different players where able to find the back of the goal for the Scouts. In addition to strong offensive play, the midfield play of Addie Sidles, Logan Hanekamp and Gracie McGowan allowed the Scouts to maintain possession of the the ball for the majority of the game. The Scouts will play their final home game of the regular season on Wednesday, October 10, against New Trier at 6:15. This will be the seniors last home game so come and celebrate their accomplishments and cheer the Scouts on as they try to avenge their only in-state loss of the season.  10-10-18  06:15 PM  Game     New Trier     Home     4 - 5  L   Lake Forest 4 - New Trier 5 The Scouts fell to the #1 seeded New Trier Trevians in double shootouts. The Scouts took an early lead with Madden Plante breaking away from the defense and scoring a beautiful goal from the top of the circle. With just seconds left in the first half Lindsay Folker took a shot and Allison Quackenbush tipped the ball, leaving the half 2-0. During the second half the Trevians tied the game, sending the teams into 7-7 OT. Maggie Mick scored, but New Trier answered back. A second 7-7 proved scoreless, which sent the team to a shootout. At the end of the first round, Elsa Goldsberry saved three shots, but the game was still tied. In a round of "golden goal" shootouts, the Trevians came out on top.
